  • Just a Few Updates

So my life has recently taken a turn for the busy side.  My week of training, the week before last, was a blast!  It was both challenging but fun.  The whole group of us that were training together really clicked.  I learned a lot.  I got the chance to attend a harvest festival with a rather large group of people last week.  I went with a friend who introduced me to his family.  His wife warned me that their youngest daughter was shy and not to take offense that she never got near strangers... clearly she had no idea who she was talking to hehehe.  In a matter of a couple hours, I was tossing her around and carrying her on my shoulders like most kids.  Her mom was surprised and was like "That was fast.  So much for being shy."  I laughed knowingly.  Amusingly enough, I was telling my mom this story and she saw the end coming and even said "She doesn't know you very well does she?"  Great minds... let me tell ya.

There was a load of pumpkins that were being given away too... one per family.  Since I was the only person from my family there, I had the opportunity to make another child quite happy.  It was great!  She kept asking if it was really ok... if I really minded her getting my pumpkin... if I was serious... I am SO glad my friend mentioned the idea to me!

After all that, there was this giant screen set up outside in an open field (like the size screen you see in theatres).  As they began playing the movie Bolt, it began to rain.  I proceeded to watch the movie... outside... in the rain... and it was fun!  I was actually disappointed when the rain stopped 1/3 of the way through the movie.  Had it rained the whole time it would have made a better story.  I did find the title of the chosen movie a bit humorous though, considering the weather.  Good times!  It reminds me of the time I went to a parade in the pouring rain... best parade I ever went to!  ...but that is a story for another time.

Enough about me.  How is everyone else doing?
